Doris June Price

Doris June Price, 95, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on May 25, 2022. She was born on October 11, 1926 to the late Ira Franklin Cockrum and Mable Ellen Cockrum. She was a Christian who loved God with all her heart. Doris worked as a Librarian for Tennessee Temple University for many years. She also volunteered at Erlanger Hospital. Above all things, Doris loved her family and spending time with them.

In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by her son Dave Price, granddaughter, Catherine Baumhardt and her siblings: Bob Cockrum, Wanda Patterson, and Joyce Jones.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 76 years, James Price; children: Judy Olsen (Sam), Becky Richards, and Jeff Price (Faith); grandchildren: Debi, Samuel, Elizabeth, David, Rachel, Jennifer, Joshua, Jacob, and Jessica. She also leaves behind 21 great grandchildren and extended family members and friends.

Doris’ family will receive friends from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday June 1st at Chattanooga First Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 7450 Standifer Gap Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421. A celebration of Doris’ life will be held at 12pm at the church with Pastor Bill Summers officiating. She will be laid to rest following her service at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
