Donna Jean Slabaugh West

Donna Jean Slabaugh West was born March 13, 1934 to William H. Slabaugh and Bernice Wogan Slabaugh in Canton, OH. She married Earl B. West in 1957. She bore five children and was able to raise four. She is preceded in death by her parents and sibling: William, Vilda, Sandra, Clarence, and David, as well as Richard and Elizabeth in infancy. She lived most of her life in Canton, raising her children, cheering her favorite sports teams the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and Ohio State Buckeyes and helping anyone she could.

She is survived by her daughters Carol Maley of Athens, TN, Betty (Jerry) Weaver of Cleveland, TN. Karen Leonard of South Dakota and Sharon Cherrine of Ohio, and Beth Anderson of Cleveland, TN. She had 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and “adopted” children and grandchildren.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 4pm on Thursday October 20th at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel with visitation prior from 2pm until 4pm.
