Della Mae Wilson

Della Mae Wilson, 78, of Cleveland, TN passed away on June 14, 2021. She was born on June 10, 1943 to the late B.W. and Maybelle Curtis. Della enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a loving and protective mother who was well loved by all. She was a loving and faithful follower of Jehovah. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandbaby.
In addition to her mother and father, Della is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Wilson, her siblings: Kenny Curtis, Edna Pritchard, James Curtis, Cecil Harris, Bobby Curtis, and Sandra Curtis; grandchildren: Tanda Harris Laye, Gary Wilson Jr., and Thomas Antonio Wilson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Gary Eugene Wilson (Quotonia), Loretta Starnes (Michael), Jo Ann Wilson, Darlene Henderson (Elliott-dec.), Marcell Tate (Bobby – dec.), Cornell Wilson (Teresa), and Jamison Wilson (Carrie); siblings: Nesby Harris, John Curtis, Carol Smith, Margaret Howell, Shirley Farmer, and Helen Curtis. She also leaves behind nineteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Della’s life will be held at 5pm on Saturday June 19, 2021 in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. The family request that masks are worn, and social distancing practiced. Her family will receive friends prior to the service from 3pm to 5pm. She will be laid to rest following her service at Fort Hill Cemetery.
