Obituary
Crawford Roy Burns Sr., 76, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away at his home on Sunday May 31, 2015. Crawford was a retired truck driver and an avid nascar fan.
Crawford was preceded in death by his mother and father Lillie Mae and Joe Burns as well as one brother, Joe Edward Burns.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years Beverly Hooper Burns; two children, Crawford (Carolinda) Burns Jr. and Lisa (Kenny) Lee; grandchildren, Kendra Michelle Lee and Kyra (Matt) Peardon, both of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Brandon Burns and Brette (Chris) Schroll, both of Cleveland, Tennessee; great-granddaughter, Emma Kate Peardon, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sister, Rosella Ratcliff; brother-in-law Jack Hooper and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank very special and loving neighbors and close friends as well as the loving care received from the staff of Avalon Hospice of Athens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Avalon Hospice of Athens.
A memorial service is planned for 7:00PM on Wednesday June 3rd, 2015 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW.
The family will be receiving friends two hours prior from 5:00PM until the 7:00PM service time.
