Clara Perry Elliott

Clara Perry Elliott, 80, of Cleveland, TN passed away on March 21, 2021. She was born on August 16, 1940 to the late Lennis Hall and Bertha Weaver Hall. Clara has lived in Cleveland for more than 50 years. She was a babysitter for many years for many local children. Above all, Clara was a loving mother and grandmother. She also loved her “granddogs” very much: Gracie Mae and Laci Lou.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husbands Jessie James “Frog” Perry and Robert Elliott.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Robin Hawkins (Mark) and Lisa King (Chris); stepson Jessie Schabell (April); sisters: Jean Silvers, Shirley Carpenter, and Christine McCarroll; grandchildren Caylee King and Shane Swafford; step grandchildren: Elizabeth Hawkins and Mark Hawkins Jr. In addition to these, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
A celebration of Clara’s life will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, March 26, 2021, at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 3:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Friday following the service. Rodney Broglin, Phillip Lawson, Jessie Schabell, Bowdie Hyde, Glenn Swafford, and Pat Yates will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests that everyone in attendance wear face coverings and practice social distancing as much as possible.
