Christopher Wayne Brown

Christopher Wayne Brown, 47, of Benton, TN passed away on November 29, 2019. He was born on February 22, 1972 to Johnny Wayne and Brenda Sue Brown. Chris was born and raised in this area and has lived here most of his life. He was a truck driver by trade and those who knew Chris, knew he never met a stranger. He was a tremendously good hearted man who could always make you smile. When he was younger he played football and his teammates knew him as “Chunky Brown.” His love for football carried on as he was a big time Tennessee Vols fan. Above all, he loved his family and spending time with them.
He is preceded in death by an infant son Justin Dallas Wayne Brown; grandparents: Samuel and Frances Brown and William and Catherine Wallace.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Paula Brown; daughter Breanna Paige Brown; parents Brenda and Johnny Brown; brother Jason Wayne Brown (Rhonda); sister in law Emma Hall (Tony); brothers in law Robert Beasley (Phyllis Luck), Kelly Beasley, and Billy Beasley (Angie). In addition to these he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday December 2, 2019 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday December 3, 2019 at Chestuee Worship Center located at 1414 Athens Road, Calhoun, TN. Pastor Samuel Burger and Pastor Gary Moats will be officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
