Cathy Robinson Cate

Cathy Robinson Cate, 75, resident of Cleveland TN passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at a local healthcare facility. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Carrie Mason Robinson and the loving wife of the late Wendell Cate for 52 years.
Cathy was born in Humbolt, TN. She moved to Chattanooga at the age of 18 years old, where she met her future husband Wendell by making sure she got in his line while he was working as a teller at the bank. Later they moved to Cleveland to be near their daughter Kelly and her family. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church but recently attended Straightway Church of Ooltewah. She loved her Lord and Savior with her whole heart and it showed through the love she showed towards others, as she never met a stranger and was very social with everyone she came in contact with. Cathy loved talking to others and thrift shopping, but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life.
In addition to her parents and husband Wendell, she is preceded in death by her brother Ray Robinson, and her sister Tommy Jean Johnson.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter Kelly Hamilton and husband Frank, grandchildren, Conner, Mari Cate and Hayden Hamilton. Her brothers Jack Robinson, John Robinson and wife Linda, sister Nancy Kometz and husband George, sister-in-law Helen Ruth Robinson and special sister-in-law Janie Cate, as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life held for Cathy, Saturday April 6, 2019 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Rd. NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 at 2:00, with the Reverends James Shackelford and Mike Combs officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 until the service time.
