Burch Ray Lee

Burch Ray Lee, 86, a lifelong resident of this area passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in a local hospital. He was born in Polk County on February 26, 1932 a son of the late Thomas & Lily Lee. Burch was retired from the maintenance department of the Bradley County School Board. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Kinser Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Alma “Aileen” Lee, grandson Tyler Durham, three sisters Bonnie Hatcher, Aileen Price and Velma Hall and three brothers Joda E. Lee, Fletcher Lee and Fred Lee.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory four children Jerry Lee and his wife Brenda, Nancy Hampton and her companion Chuck Kowalski, Marcia Barker and husband Daryl and Cynthia Gaines and her husband Ray, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two siblings Ruth Davis and Nell Harden. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Guinn Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home parlor on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time.
