Bobby Eugene Gipson

Bobby Eugene Gipson, 81, of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at a local hospital. He retired from M&M Mars after 29 years of service, both in Chicago, IL and Cleveland. He was a great man of God and had attended Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was born in Marion, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Irene Gipson. He was also proceeded in death by one brother, Jim Gipson, one sister, Hilda Gipson Heaton, an infant son, Gregory Lee Gipson, and two nephews. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Evelyn Gipson, of Cleveland; twin sister Bonnie Gipson Haskins and two twin brothers, Frazer and Alpha Gipson, all of Pensacola, FL, daughters, Pam Gipson Fugate (Tim) of Georgetown, TN; Charlene Duckworth (Dan) of Lenoir City, TN; and Rachel Gipson of Cleveland; four grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, followed by a celebration of life service there on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 11:00 am.
