Obituary

Betty Parrish, 56, a lifetime resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Wednesday morning, July 23rd, 2014 at her home. Betty was born on Jun 20th, 1958 a daughter of James & Mary Suggs. She was of the Church of God faith and attended Kinser Road Church of God. Betty worked with Waffle House for thirty eight plus years where she made many friends.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters Linda Higgins, Brenda Middleton and Pat Messer and four brothers David M. Suggs, James Albert Suggs Jr., James Melton Suggs and Thomas “Rooster” Collins.

Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter Vanessa Kelley and her husband Edward, one son Roy Walden, five grandchildren Felecia Kelley, Chris Kelley, Cody Kelley, Reed Strickland and Michael McDonald, three great grandchildren Ayden Kelley, Corbin Kelley and Abbi Mann, one sister Francis Hooker and her husband Charlie, several very special nieces and nephews, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Sunday, July 27th, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Guinn Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-9:00pm on Saturday and from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday before the service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Betty Parrish Fund at any FSG Bank location.
