Arthel Harden

Arthel Harden, 83, of Old Fort, TN passed away on August 14, 2016. He was born on April 19, 1933 to the late Enoch and Allie Harden. Arthel was a very Godly man that loved to pray. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his family dearly.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife Arlene Harden; great grandson Frankie Allan Friddell III; brothers Henry Harden, Tom Harden, and Bill Harden; sisters Lizzie Cantrell, Node Davis, Bertie Gann, Beulah Fortner, Ida Harden, and Bea Gann.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons: Tim Harden (Rosemary), Mark Harden (Virginia), and Paul Steven Harden (Julie); daughter Patricia Alvey (William); grandchildren: Billy Alvey, Mike Alvey, Courtney Alvey, Tate Gentry, Heather Harden, Thomas Harden, Whitney Padgett, Chesna Harden, and Daniel Harden; step grandchildren Amy Quinn, Dustin Quinn, Austin Lowe & Lexi Lowe; great grandchildren: Danika Alvey, Kaden Alvey, Kaylen Alvey, Kayden Padgett, Noah Padgett, Caylee Padgett, Cindy Lowe, Selena Harden, Faith Harden, Elijah Harden, Aurora Gentry, and Benton Gentry.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday August 18, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2145 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Rev. Don Harris and Rev. Ron Bard officiating. Interment will follow the service on Thursday at Lee Cemetery with Billy Alvey, Mike Alvey, Thomas Harden, Tate Gentry, Daniel Harden, and George Wilson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday August 17, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
