Robert Owen Hamilton Jr.

Robert Owen Hamilton Jr., 68, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Monday morning December 5th, 2016 at Erlanger Medical Center. Robert Owen was born on June 23rd, 1948 a son of the late Robert Hamilton Sr. & Doris Hamilton. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a bachelors degree Agricultural Science. Robert Owen and his family has been running the family farm in the Chatata Valley Community for 45 plus years. Robert Owen served for many on the Bradley County Farm Bureau Board and was currently serving on the Bradley County Soil Conservation Board. He was inducted into the Bradley County Agriculture Hall of Fame. Robert Owen was a member of Bellefounte Baptist Church.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years Billie Sue Calhoun Hamilton, three children Robert Owen Hamilton III "Robby" and his companion Lana Kay Fowler, Emily Beth Starnes and her husband Jake, and Avery Dean Hamilton and his wife Danielle, seven grandchildren Alexandra Skye Hamilton, Jakie Christopher Starnes, Andrew Houston Starnes, Lydia Elizabeth Starnes, Lauren Olivia Starnes, Cameron Riley Hamilton and Amelia Kate Hamilton. He is also survived by two sisters Linda Barbrow and Mary Helen Thomason (Roy), numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday, December 6th, 2016 at 8:00 PM at the Bellefounte Baptist Church located at 132 Bellefounte Road NE in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Lake Walker officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until the 8:00 PM service time.

The interment and graveside service will take place on Wednesday morning, December 7th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Robert Owen's memory to the missions group at Bellefounte Baptist Church.
