Charlotte "Libby" Johnson

Charlotte W. Johnson, age 75
“Libby” as she was affectionately known, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday March 19, 2018. She passed peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born October 14, 1942 in Wilmington, NC to the late Catherine Russ & Morris Caldwell Weeks. She was also proceeded in death by a brother Luther Morris Weeks.
Libby spent many years working in the healthcare field as an LPN. She began her nursing career as a floor nurse at Bradley Memorial Hospital, and later moved to the private practice working with DR. John B. Standridge. Libby finished her career working for Dr. Samir Rahbe when she retired after more than 25 years of service in the office. Her dedication was shone through her love and care for her patients, and their love and care for her.
After her retirement, until her health failed her. She was an active volunteer of the Caring Place in Cleveland. She enjoyed giving back to others and sharing the stories of Jesus with them.
Until her health failed, Libby was a very active member of First Lutheran Church in Cleveland, TN. She loved both her church family especially the LWML/KIT group and her pastor.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children Jerry L. Johnson Jr. (Denise), Jodie Taylor (Rick Watkins), her grandchildren Jerry L Johnson III, Lucian, Dani & Riley Allison. Three sisters Kay Weeks, Jo Etta Weeks, Susie Wells & Sister in law Jane Weeks all of North Carolina, also several nieces & nephews, special family friends Vickie & Dwight Coffey. She also leaves behind a host of many extended family and friends whose lives she touched along the way.
The family would like to thank Dr. Boren and his Staff of the Chattanooga Program in Women’s Oncology for their wonderful care and friendship for Libby during her illness.
A memorial service will be held for Libby at the First Lutheran Church at 195 McIntire Ave. Cleveland, Tn. on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 1pm. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Robert Seaton of the church. Friends & relatives are invited to attend. There will be a private family interment in the church columbarium at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to donate to the First Lutheran Church Memorial fund in Libby’s honor.
