Woodrow Martin, 79, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on December 16, 2024. A man of many talents and a heart full of love, Woodrow lived a life that brought joy to everyone around him.

Woodrow had a passion for drawing, painting, and building things. Whether it was telling jokes to bring laughter to others, tinkering with cars, or enjoying the beauty of the mountains, he embraced life's simple pleasures. He loved listening to old music and cherished every moment spent with his family.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Woodrow served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam War. His service to his country was a testament to his dedication and strength.

Woodrow is survived by his sons: Kelly Martin (Violet) of Benton, Charles Troy Martin (Crystal) of Cleveland, and Steve Martin (Misty) of Etowah, TN. He is also survived by his daughter Emily McDonald and sister Katherine Hamilton, and his brother, Junior Martin (Ginger, deceased).

His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Shila, Ashlynn, Kelund, Nathaniel, A'Szu, Amira, Daniel, Jonathan, Cadin, and Sunder. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Addy, Kavean, Amari, Divineli, and the families of Patricia Hall (6 great-grandchildren), Jenny Carpenter (3 great-grandchildren), Tatum Loftis (1 great-grandchild), and Brooklyn Bailey and grandson Bryson Bailey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Floella Martin; sisters, Lillian and Oneada; and his ex-wife, Glenna Martin. Grandson Luke Fields, Granddaughter Heavenly Martin, and son Michael Martin

Visitation: Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Cleveland.

Funeral Service: Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 5:00 PM at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Cleveland.

Burial: Monday, December 30, 2024, at Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, TN.

Woodrow's life was a testament to hard work, creativity, and love for those around him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
