Wilma Guy Ogle

Wilma Guy Ogle, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. She was born December 7, 1928 in Polk County, TN. She was a graduate of Polk County High School and retired in 1990 from American Uniform after more than 30 years of service. Wilma was of the Baptist faith.

Wilma was the daughter of the late Richard and Frankie Guy. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Leonard A. Ogle, one daughter Vickie Gardner of Nashville, TN, two sons Jimmy D. Ogle of Texas and Ray Ogle of Cleveland, TN, six brothers, Brawner, Morris, Winston, Hoyt, Homer, Myles and Arnold Guy, two sisters, Retta McClure and Florence Perkins.

Wilma is survived by a special granddaughter Amber Abendroth (Jason) and great granddaughter Kya of Nashville, TN. Special daughter and caregiver Shelia Stinnett (Leonard) and grandson Silas, two daughters Faye Wheless of Athens, TN and Brenda Higgins (Gene) of Nashville, TN, three sons Leonard A. “Butch” Ogle Jr. (Jean) of Knoxville, TN, Dennis Ogle (Shonie) and Danny Ogle (Phyllis) both of Charleston, TN. Wilma had numerous grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her life is planned on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Adam Harden officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Leonard Ogle Jr., Dennis Ogle, Danny Ogle, Jim Guy, David Guy, Mark Guy and Shane Guy serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, July 10, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and also one hour prior to the 11:00 AM service on Wednesday in the funeral home parlor.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be to either the American Heart Association or Cancer Research Center in Wilma’s memory.
