Willie "Bill" Bracket Jr. gained his Heavenly wings on October 2, 2020.
Born on November 12, 1946. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he received 2 Purple Heart Awards for injuries suffered in combat.
After leaving the service he went to work for the State of Tennessee as a Highway Patrol Officer. He left there and went to work for Bowater Paper Company where he stayed until he retired after 37 years.
Willie was preceded in death by his father and mother Willie Brackett Sr. and Edna Stafford Brackett and his brother Larry Brackett.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 26 years Linda Brackett, sisters Sandy Hackney and Debbie Blackwell, sons Shane Brackett, Jason Brackett, Ben Ware, and Brandon Ware.
Also his great friend Shane Haupert who was like a son.
He leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nurmeous neices and nephews. He also leaves behind many other family members, numerous friends and co-workers.
And will also be deeply missed by his vacation family Betty, Jean, Roger, and Mike.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday October 7, 2020 in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held following the visitation. Bill will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30pm on Thursday October 8, 2020 with full military honors.
