William Ross "Bill" Huckabey

William Ross “Bill” Huckabey, 64, a lifelong resident of Athens, TN passed away on Friday morning, July 5, 2019 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1955 a son of the late Ray & Clara Huckabey. Bill was of the Baptist faith and a member of Stephensville Baptist Church. He was retired from the City of Athens after twenty-five plus years. Bill enjoyed fishing and working on older cars and trucks.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his only son Joseph Ray Huckabey, sister Diane Huckabey Harris and brother Jerry Huckabey.
Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Patsy Stafford Huckabey, five grandchildren Joseph Tyler Ray Huckabey, Kevin Huckabey, Lexis Huckabey, Dezaray Huckabey and Hannah Gray, two brothers Mike Huckabey (Betty) and Allen Huckabey (Grace), numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN with the Reverend James Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time at the funeral home.
The family will gather on Wednesday morning, July 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the McMinn Memory Gardens for the interment and committal service.
