Obituary for William Lester Goode

William "Lester" Goode, 72, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Sunday, April 9, 2023. He was born in Ducktown, TN on July 26, 1950, a son of the late "Chester" Goode and Ruth Helton. He was a lifelong automotive mechanic and received his

certification from Hall Chevrolet. He enjoyed dirt track racing, working on

cars, NASCAR, fishing, and early country music.

He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Nicholson, daughter-in-law Cindy Goode, and

grandson Blake Goode.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children David Goode, Daniel Goode (Janet) of Maryland, Patty Moschak, and Kiesha Shelton, brother James of Farner, sisters Diane of McCaysville

and Martie (Jerry) of Cohutta, grandchildren Jason, Sarah, Mindy, Jenny, Lester, Leslie, Kevin, Kyle, Lindsey, Alyssa, Brandon and Scarlett, 15 great grandchildren, a special nephew Jason McMahan, special former son-in-law Jonathan Shelton, former spouse Wanda and loving partner Myssi.

His friends and family are left with memories of a hardworking man with a hearty laugh and endless car wisdom. Whether he gave you a tough time or helped you when you fell on tough times, we can all say that we will never have another like our beloved "LG".
