William Fred Stringham

Obituary
Willard Stringham, 82, a resident of Birchwood, TN passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital. Willard was born on March 28, 1929 a son of the late George and Anna Stringham. He was of the Lutheran faith. Willard worked for K-Mart for many years and after retirement from there went on to work at the U. S. Forestry Service. He loved bluegrass and country music and had a wonderful sense of humor. He took great joy in making everyone around him laugh. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Kathryn Stringham, two brothers Arthur Stringham and George Stringham, and his beloved dog Dollie.
Willard leaves here to cherish his memory sons Brian Stringham of Birchwood, TN and Steve Holowach (Katrina) of Pensacola, FL and three daughters Nina Parker (Eddie) of Cleveland, TN, Sue Gooding of East Ridge, TN, and Joan Ceeto of Los Angeles, CA, two brothers Howard Stringham, and Lawrence Stringham, three sisters Margaret Martin, Joan Stringhan, and Eileen Hansen, seven grandchildren, Pam Casson (Larry), Joe Parker (Mandy), Sherry Emmer (Doug), Kristy Harrington (Scott), Jamie Sims (Daniel), Stephanie Grimmel (Bradford), and Robert Cothern, thirteen great grandchildren, a loving ex-wife Mary Lemons, and numerous nieces, and nephews and other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the East Side Church of Christ located at 252 Wildwood Avenue SE, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Evangelist Jeff Archey officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 PM until the 7:00 PM service time on Thursday.
