William F. Queen, 84, a longtime resident of Old Fort, TN passed away early Friday morning, December 6, 2019 at his home. He was born in Robbinsville, NC on July 3, 1935 a son of the late Boyd & Arlene Queen. Queen as he was known by all who knew him was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. After his discharge, he worked at Coopers Bookstore for 12 years then began his banking career with Benton Bank holding various position from teller to branch manager before retirement.
Queen was a member of Beech Spring Baptist Church and enjoyed riding his motorcycles and working on his computer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father and mother in law Albert & Martha Silvers.
Queen leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years Jo Ann Silvers Queen, one son and daughter in law Barry & Kim Queen, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends including his co-workers and church family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, December 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Beech Springs Baptist Church. The celebration of life service will began at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Larry Humbard officiating.
The interment and committal service will take place on Friday morning, December 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Dill Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Keith Greer will officiate the graveside service.
