William Eugene Kirkland

William E. Kirkland, 73, of Madisonville, passed away on July 31,2023 in Madisonville inside his home surrounded by family. Celebration of life and Memorial service will be this Sunday, August 6,2023 at Union Fork Creek Baptist Church in Loudon located at 28280 Wade Road. Starting with food at 1 PM then Memorial service afterwards. In lieu of flowers, family asked for people to bring a covered dish or dessert to service.

William was born in Madisonville, TN on June 25,1950 to James and Dorothy Kirkland. He went to school in Madisonville. He married his “Lady” Helen Kirkland on November 7,1970. He was a veteran and served in the National Guard. He was a member of Union Fork Creek church and played and sang in different bluegrass gospel groups.

William is proceeded in death by his wife, Helen Kirkland. Grandparents, Preacher Cara Kirkland and Rose Kirkland and Polly Evans. Parents, James and Dorothy Kirkland. Siblings McNessa Wear and James Kenneth Kirkland.

William is survived by son, Joseph Scott Kirkland, Daughter and son-n-law Marcie and Robert Neal. Daughter and son-n-law Michelle and Casey Watson. Grandchildren, Kaylee Kirkland, Damien Kirkland, Byron Kirkland, Schyler Clack, Eric Neal, and Shelbie Watson along with several great grandchildren.
