William Edward Hammons

William Edward Hammons, 73, a lifelong resident of Athens, TN passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at his home. He was born in Athens on July 26, 1946 a son of the late Hoyle & Dora Hammons. William was retired from the local Shoney’s restaurant after many years of service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings. Lewis Cansler, Hoyle Hammons Jr., Dorothy Snowden and Cathy Wofford.
Williams leaves behind to cherish his memory six siblings and their families Frank Hammons (Glenda), Doyle Hammons, Gaily Bailey (Alvin), Joann Hurt, Frances Lee Forbes and Marva Jean Bradley, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
