William "Bill" Tatum

Bill Tatum, 83, a resident of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with his Glorious Savior on February 28th, 2017.

Bill was born in Cleveland, TN to Gordon and Viney Lou Tatum on February 9th, 1934. He married the love of his life, Janice Fowler, on December 29th, 1959. He was blessed with three daughters, Loraine, Patti, and Paula.

He retired from Harrington and King Perforating Co. He had many hobbies that he loved. He truly enjoyed people. He never met a stranger. He adored his grandchildren and was the best husband and daddy in the whole world. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to travel.

He was a proud member of Boanerges Baptist Church and a lifelong deacon.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Gordon and Viney Tatum. He was also proceeded in death by his brothers, G.W, J.D, Jim, Sol, Frank, Floyd, Charlie, Ernest, Fred, and Norman. He also had one sister, Bertha Jenkins, who proceeded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 57 years, Janice (Fowler) Tatum. He also leaves behind his daughters, Loraine (Bryan) Flynt of Harrison, TN, Patti (Steve) Terry of Cleveland, TN, and Paula (Kenny) Headrick of Cleveland, TN. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Ashlyn and McKenzie Terry of Cleveland, TN, and Bradley Headrick of Cleveland, TN. As well as one sister, Jewell Withrow of Cleveland, TN.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday March 3rd, 2017 at Boanerges Baptist Church with Rev. David Disney and Rev. James Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM till 7:00 PM on Friday prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
