William "Bill" Lee Underwood

Obituary

William “Bill” Lee Underwood, 67, of Old Fort, TN died Monday, December 30th after battling cancer the past year and a half. Bill worked for Magic Chef for over 35 years and was an active member of Blue Ridge Temple Baptist Church in Old Fort.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Underwood and by siblings Robert, Ralph, Leola, and Hazel. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Kay; children: Kim Vorva and husband Chris, Kathy Underwood, Lee Underwood and wife Glenda, Barry Underwood, and Bruce Underwood and wife Amanda; five grandchildren: Zach, Joseph, Matthew, Megan, and Kaytlin; brothers: Frank and wife Ardonna, Jerry and wife Tina, Terry and wife Gloria; sisters: Linda Myers and husband Bobby, Mary Dunn, Betty Murphy and husband Charles, Charlotte Williams and husband Tom, with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Thursday January 2nd at 7:00pm at Blue Ridge Temple Baptist Church located at 1011 Swan Road, Old Fort, TN 37362 with Rev. Jim Parm officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until the 7:00pm service time. Interment will be on Friday January 3rd at 10:00am at Dill Cemetery in Old Fort, TN.

In lieu of flowers, his wishes were that donations could be made to the youth program at his church. Donations can be made to BRTBC Youth at the church address listed above.
