Willa Mae King

Willa Mae King, 90, of Cleveland, left this earth and went to her heavenly home December 18, 2024. She lived most of her life in Old Fort were she was active in her church, teaching Sunday school, Bible school and affectionately known by her nieces, nephews and all the children of the community as Aunt Mae.

Willa Mae spent many years in the food service industry from waitress, to school cafeterias, to creating special occasion cakes, pastries and treats for friends and family.

While working as a waitress she met her beloved husband, Dorf (Wade) King and they spent over 60 years together until he preceded her in death 10 years ago.

Willa Mae was also preceded in death by her parents Hearld Dunn & Ada Brackett Dunn.

Brothers; Lee Olan Dunn, Ted Dunn, Dewitt (Farrell) Dunn. Sister; Regina Dunn Blankenship. Willa Mae is survived by her sons Dennis King, Robert (Rita) King. Grandsons; Ben King, Eric King. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters; Virgil Dunn, Fenton Dunn, Ronald Dunn, Dorothy (Dot) Quinn, Eula Parm, Genell Headrick and Kay Underwood; Along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday December 22nd, 2:00-3:00 with Service immediately following at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
