Wilburn Eugene Bain

Wilburn “Willie” Eugene Bain, 88, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 17, 2022. He was born on July 12, 1934 to the late Creed and Lily Bain. Willie was a lifelong resident of this area and he worked at Maytag for over 40 years. He was a member of Unity Church of God since 1975. He loved reading his Bible and enjoyed helping his neighbors and church members. Willie’s neighbors will always remember him walking throughout the neighborhood talking with each of them. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife Betty Brewer Bain and son Eddie “Tex” Bain.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory two sisters: Rosa Mason and Wanda Dickson and a host of friends.
Willie’s family will receive friends on Tuesday July 19th at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home from 5pm until 8pm. A celebration of Willie’s life will be held at 3pm on Wednesday July 20th at Unity Church of God. He will be laid to rest following his service at Cohulla Baptist Church Cemetery.
