Obituary
Warren G. Brewster, 78, a lifelong resident of this area went home to be with Jesus surrounded by his family on Sunday afternoon February 10th, 2013 at his home. Warren was born in Ooltewah TN on August 16th, 1934 a son of the late Walter and Louise Brewster. He was of the Baptist faith and attended the First Baptist Church of Cleveland. Warren spent his career in education serving as a teacher at Cleveland High School, Assistant Principal at Cleveland Middle, Principle at Arnold Elementary, and finishing his career with the JPTA program. He played baseball at Tennessee Wesleyan College and took great pride in playing for the Cleveland Banana baseball team locally. He was an original member of the football panel serving since 1961. Warren was a loyal fan of the Tennessee Vols. He remained close to his graduating classmates of 1952. He enjoyed spending time with his family going on vacations, and most of all spending time at the family lake house. His spent his last days surrounded by his family.
Warren leaves behind to cherish his memory Patti Brewster, three daughters and sons-in-law Kellye & Jeff Huff, Lori & Tim Delk and Karen & Jason Blomdahl, one son and daughter-in-law Gill and Lisa Brewster, one brother Mike Brewster of Murphy, NC, eight grandchildren, Cameron Brewster, Hayley Brewster, Logan Delk, Morgan Delk, Matthew Huff, Michael Huff, Austin Blomdahl and Ally Blomdahl, special friends Dr. C. A. Kile and Eddie & Milteen Cartwright who supported him throughout his illness. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and countless friends.
A celebration of his life will be on Tuesday night, February 12th, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church located at 1275 Stuart Road NE in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Derek Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday night from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.
The family request that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the First Baptist Church building fund in Warren’s memory.
