Joyce Casteel

Joyce Casteel, 81, of McMinn County went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2024.

She was a longtime member of Valley Road Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Casteel; parents, James and Edith Blankenship; brothers, Jimmy Blankenship and Freddie Blankenship.

Survivors include her brothers, Eddie (Denise) Blankenship, Carroll Blankenship, Richard (Jane) Blankenship; sister, Patricia Smith; nieces, Cayci (Bradley) Nabors, Brittany (Eric) Cagle, Rhonda Johnson, Amanda (Paul) Barrineau, Tabatha (Chase) Boyd, and Angela Whaley; special nephews, Jace Richeson, Maverick Nabors, Bryce Cagle and Colt Nabors; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 4-7pm at Valley Road Baptist Church in Athens, TN. The funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev David Coffman and Rev Gus Fine officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11am at the Valley Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Athens, TN with Rev Paul White and Rev Doug Greene officiating.
