In Loving Memory of Walter Robert Onopa

June 19, 1964 - September 27, 2023

Walter Robert Onopa, affectionately known as Wally, left this world on September 27, 2023, at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his two beloved grandchildren, Braylee and Ezra Caraway.

Wally is survived by his devoted spouse, Kelly Onopa, and their three cherished children, Shawn (Sally) Jones, Jesse (Nicole) Onopa, and Crystal (Patrick) Caraway. He was a loving and doting grandfather to Addie, Aubrey, Johnathan, Amelia, Kinsley, and Theo.

In addition to his immediate family, Wally is also survived by his two sisters, Cathy and Eleanor, who will carry his memory with them.

Wally was a man of immense kindness and generosity. He had a passion for helping others, a deep love for the Lord, and an unwavering devotion to his family, which he held above all else. His commitment to serving his community was evident through his volunteer work with the fire department, where he selflessly gave his time to protect and aid others. Wally also enjoyed the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle and the discipline of martial arts.

Wally's legacy will continue to shine through the countless lives he touched with his compassion and selflessness. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in peace, dear Wally. Your love and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Wally's Memorial Service at Faith Baptist Church located at 358 Happy Top Road Grandview, TN 37337, visitation will be from 12:00pm - 4:00pm with a memorial service to follow led by Pastor Justin Dannel.
