Cartwright, Wallace Melvin (Mel), 75, entered eternal life on January 2, 2016. Born on September 11, 1940, in Cleveland, Tennessee. Mel was one of 11 children. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served a tour in Korea. Upon his return, he relocated to Southern California and began his career in machining. Melvin went on to become the owner of Cartwright Profiling Co. He was a well-respected businessman for over 40 years in Stanton. He loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, collecting cars, and reading novels. Mel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all the lives he touched. “Never Forget” – His memory will live in our hearts forever. Mel is survived by Jackie, his wife of 50 years and their children: Lisa Concannon, and Joseph (Laurie) Cartwright. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Ayden, Devan, Zachary, Nolan, and Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.C Cartwright and Pearl Cartwright; and brothers, Kenneth, Pledger, and Dwight. His sisters - Pauline Cartwright, Gladys Pierce, Myrtle Smith, and Pearl Hill; and brothers – Blaine, Earl, and Wayne, survive him. A celebration of Melvin’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Anaheim.
