Wade Mcclain Crisp

Wade McClain Crisp, 81, lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Sunday morning, August 14th, 2016 in a local healthcare facility. He was born in Decatur, TN on February 26th, 1935 a son of the late Ora & Blossie Crisp. Wade was a carpenter for many years. Among his many hobbies he enjoyed collecting coins and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son Roy Dewayne Crisp, six sisters, four brothers and one son in law John Johnson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory seven children Faye Melton (Danny), Debra Johnson of Athens, TN, Jeff Crisp of Lakeland, FL, Mark Crisp of Utah, Colt Crisp also of Utah, Ruby Crisp of Greenville, SC, Evonne Kirkland of Gadsden, AL, and Jackie Carlson of Utah, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, five sisters, several other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday evening, August 16th, 2016 at 7:00 PM in chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Kevin Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home parlor on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Bradley Health Care and Rehab for their excellent care of Wade. Also to Danny Melton II, Issha Rogers, Deadrick Melton and special friends Arwin & Sandra “Robin” Roderick for their help with his care over the past few years.
