Wade Jenkins

Wade Emery Jenkins, 89, of Cleveland, TN passed away on March 31, 2024. He was born on December 30, 1934 to the late Clyde and Leona Jenkins. Wade was a tremendously hard worker and was dedicated to his work. He loved being outdoors, hunting. He was a "tinkerer" and enjoyed working with his hands. He also loved old cars.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Norma Lee Satterfield, Ruth Ann Barrett, Maureen Wilhoit, Hillard Jenkins and Lois Martin.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 70 years, Shirley Jenkins; sister Nora Barnett; children: Lavonne Collins, Larry Jenkins, Tonya Pendergrass, Teresa Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Elizabeth Jenkins. In addition to these, Wade leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Wade's family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm on Thursday April 4th at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of Wade's life will follow the service at 1pm with Rev. Brian Mowrey will be officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Turtletown, TN following the service.
