Obituary
Vivian Doss Emmert, 89, a long time resident of Clearwater, Florida and recently of Cleveland, Tennessee went home December 6, 2011 to be with her Lord and Savior and her loving husband Howard who she missed so dearly since his homegoing in 2009. She was a devoted wife, loving and praying mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Her kind words and sweet spirit prevented her from ever meeting a stranger. She quickly became a friend to all those she met. She loved sharing her faith in Jesus Christ and would always end a conversation with “I love you, God Bless.”
Vivian was a member of Woodlawn Church of God in Clearwater, Florida. During WWII she worked for the government in Washington, DC. After marrying and having children, her life was spent devoting her time and love to her family.
Along with her husband, Howard, Vivian was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Pearl Doss and her two brothers, Kermit Doss and Howard Doss.
Those left to cherish her memory are her five children: Robert Blake (Sue) of Clearwater, FL; Danny Blake (Cheryl) of Carthage, NY; Timothy Emmert of Atlanta, GA; David Emmert of Richlands, NC; and Connie Jo Prugh of Cleveland, TN; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister Willie Ann Dollar of NC; several in-laws, cousins and many friends.
