Virginia "Louise" Cole

October 14, 1937 — April 6, 2021

Virginia Louise Cole died April 6, 2021 with family by her side after a lengthy illness. She was born to the late Flora and Walter Reedy, a homemaker and coal miner in Richlands, VA. She was a devout believer in the Seventh Day Adventist faith from an early age and her faith continued to be the unwavering cornerstone of her life.
Louise was blessed with a loving family. She married the love of her life, Ernest Roger Cole who was her husband and best friend for 48 years. She raised six children and taught them that kindness, concern for others and a life dedicated to Christ was most important throughout their lives. She was fiercely independent, loved to garden, cook and work a tough jigsaw puzzle. She always enjoyed the company of her cat, Sassy, and for many years the two of them were great companions. Although she was tiny and became very frail, she exhibited great gusto for life and was a tremendous encouragement. Her greatest joy came from family.
She is survived by; Pamela Denise VanBoekhout and husband Paul of Graysville, TN, James Edward White and wife Patsy of Murfreesboro, TN, and Sandra Gail Hogston and husband Kenneth of Mooresville, NC, Rosemary Victor, FL, Deanna Sowards, WV and Brian Cole, VA. She also had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her daughter Pam and son in law, Paul dedicated themselves to caring for her for the last year of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and both sisters, Imogene Cooley and Lorraine Schwebel.
