Virginia Lou Ooten, 92, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 2, 2021 at Life Care Center of Cleveland. She was born on June 16, 1929 in Midway, TN to the late Lacy W. and Ruby P. Harmon Hybarger. “Aunt Jenny,” as she was affectionately known by many, will forever be remembered as a tremendous cook who loved to cook meals for her family. She retired as a Dietary Supervisor at Bradley Memorial Hospital. She also enjoyed watching the Lady Vols and Atlanta Braves. Aunt Jenny was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her two sisters Katherine Wheeler and Mary Evans and two brothers CL Hybarger and Bob Hybarger. They were known as the three sisters and now they have been reunited in heaven along with their brothers.
She was a devoted mother to her one and only daughter Kathy Howard and her husband Steve, who she leaves behind to cherish her memory. In addition to her daughter, Aunt Jenny leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she loved as her own grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Sunday July 4, 2021 in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. Virginia will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens with a private family burial. The family would like to let those in attendance know that masks will be available and social distancing will be practiced.
