Virginia Jean Martin, aged 68, passed away on May 5, 2023, in Cleveland, Tennessee. Born on January 1, 1955, in Zanesville, Ohio, Virginia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Willard and Dolores Johnson, her daughter Connie Sue, her son J.B. Martin, her stepson David D Martin, her sister Tamara Johnson, and several other siblings. She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, J.D. Martin, Jr., her son J.D. Martin III, her daughter Mary Ann Dotson, her brothers Willard Johnson and James Johnson, her grandchildren Hailey Dotson (Tanner), Bryson Dotson, and Gaven Dotson (Haili), and her eight great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Virginia enjoyed playing bingo and cards and bringing people together. Her infectious smile and passion for life were enough to light up any room she entered. She found solace and strength in her unwavering faith, and as a devoted Christian, her relationship with God was a guiding force in her life.
The Martin family will receive friends on from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday, May 10th at Companion Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service at 12pm and the burial to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN with Pastor Richard Mason and Pastor Robert Johnson to officiate.
Virginia Jean Martin, your presence in this world will be dearly missed, but your spirit will continue to touch the lives of those you have left behind. May you rest in peace, knowing that your love will keep us connected, and your memory will be cherished forever.
