Obituary
Virginia “Faye” Hickman, beloved mother of Renee and Paul Bicknell, of Linthicum, Maryland and devoted grandmother to Paul David, Sarah Elizabeth and Kieth Ulmer Bicknell passed away suddenly in Baltimore on August 13th, 2013. Ms. Hickman was born in Cleveland, Tennessee July 4th, 1928 to the late Fred and Clemmie Murray Hickman. She will be missed by numerous family members in Cleveland including Danah and Donald Hindman, Darryl, Dickie and Don Jackson and special niece, Libby Faye. Ms. Hickman attended Bradley High School and worked in the atomic bomb plant in Oak Ridge before leaving for Baltimore in the forties. She became an award winning multi-million dollar real estate agent for Long & Foster, after 40 years of working for the famous Haussner’s Restaurant in Baltimore.
Ms. Hickman loved traveling with her daughter and loved The Lord. She was blessed to have visited the Holy Land, the Vatican and the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. Services for her Catholic burial were at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Baltimore. She was interred at Oaklawn Cemetery next to her loving sister, Doris Ainslee. Though her body may rest in Baltimore; Faye’s heart was always in Tennessee.
