Vincent Lee Soulchin went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus on April 4, 2025, after a long battle with illnesses. Vince was born in Johnstown, PA to Donna Shirley Hutka and Bradley Soulchin.
Vince was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Theodore Shirley, his Paternal Grandfathers, John Soulchin and Vaughn McDannell, Maternal Aunt Emma Laney, Paternal Cousin Nathaniel Bell and his Paternal nephew Atlas Camp.
He is survived by his parents, Donna (Kurt) Hutka and Bradley (Leslie) Soulchin. His Maternal Grandmother, Rose Shirley and Paternal Grandmother Violet McDannell. His sisters, Natasha Soulchin, Melinda Frick, Sarah (Aaron) Cooper, Emily (Jon) Camp and Laila (Rich) Hammer. Nieces and nephews; Willow, Alison, Bryce, Ethan, Juniper, Chloe and John. Aunts; Karen (Bob) Bell, Myrna Childers. Uncles; Steve (Ila) Soulchin and Jeff Shirley, along with several cousins.
Even though his marriage ended in divorce, he was a devoted husband, and loved spending time with his in-laws and their family.
Vince had a real love for his nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with them. Whether it was playing dress up, games or trains, whatever would make them happy he was more than willing to play along.
He finished high school at Bradley Central and had many jobs including security guard at Merk, Site Manager at Lanza and receiving clerk at Capstone.
He was an avid woodworker and created "Not A Pro Workshop", where he made several different items, but pens were his specialty. He believed no one should ever have to write with an ugly pen.
He loved taking adventures to historical landmarks and nature. He was a wonderful photographer and would capture many beautiful scenes on his adventures "in the wild" or at events.
He loved to laugh and was quite the jokester. He had a generous heart and genuinely loved people. He would do anything he could to help anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by anyone who knew him. He was a loving brother and a proud and devoted uncle.
Thank you to all those who loved and cared for Vince. He was, and we are, eternally grateful for the love and kindness anyone showed him in his time here.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Companion Funeral Home (Old Clingan Ridge Baptist Church) on Georgetown Rd in the Shelton Parlor from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
