Victor “Vick” William Duncan was born in Chattanooga, Tn on February 14, 1943. Vick proudly served his country in The United States Army from 1961-1963. Additionally, he was an exceptional brick mason for 50+ years and was always proud of his work. On his days off, you could find him spending time with his wife and family either fishing at Harrison Bay or riding through Harrison Bay Park. During football season, you could find him in front of the tv, with his Alabama hat on, yelling “ROLL TIDE”, cheering on LSU or watching NASCAR. After asking loved ones how they would describe Vick, they said: hilarious, spunky, strong, loyal and honest.
Vick passed away in his home on July 25, 2023, in the arms of his wife and surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Florence Duncan, his brother Charles “Bud” Duncan, his sisters Charline” Neen” Dwornitski and Ellen “Tynsy” Hendricks.
Vick is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Sherry Duncan. His children, Vickie Ann Duncan of Michigan, Billy Duncan (Tammy) of Decatur, Doni “Satch” Bordelon (Joey Beasley) of Delano, Felicia Poss (Michael) of Dallas, Ga, Whitney Oetting of Chattanooga and his adopted daughter Jessica Landry (Chris) of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Ashley (Chris), Kelly (Logan), Madison, Christian, Alyssa, Haley, Addison, Bradan, Caleb, Liam, Autumn, Levi and Dani Marie; great-grandchildren, Helena, Kelsey, John Boy, Jack, Bentley and Waylon; his three sisters Callie Woody of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga, Byna Sailor of Whiting, New Jersey and Shelby Husted of Bartlebaugh, TN along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at 10:00AM at Bartlebaugh Baptist Church(6129 Champion Road Bartlebaugh, TN 37416)
