Vickie "Diane" Gill

Vickie "Diane" Hunt Gill, age 73, of Tellico Plains, formerly of Hermitage, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Diane dedicated 47 years of her life to the medical field as a Medical Laboratory Technician, a career she pursued with commitment and compassion. Deeply proud of her Native American heritage, she was a long-standing member of the Alliance for Native American Indian Rights and found great joy in participating in Pow Wows and cultural gatherings across the country.

An avid crafter and reader, Diane also loved tending to her flower garden, where she found peace and creativity. She shared her home and heart with her beloved dog, Boo, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Gill; her parents, G.C. and Marcelle Hunt; and her brother-in-law, Dean Collake.

Diane leaves behind a loving family: siblings Beverly Harris, Jack (Lori) Hunt, and Vivian Collake; nieces and nephews Kevin (Felisha) Harris, Lori (Rick) Rock, Hannah (Fate) Hitson, Jessica Hunt, Danny Lovejoy, Kellie (Mike) Corcoran, Katie Stewart, and Andrew Gill; brother-in-law Richard (Anita) Gill; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Honoring Diane's wishes, no formal service will be held. Instead, she asked that a tree be planted with her ashes beside her beloved husband, Dave at their home.
