Veta Angel Greene

Veta (Beard) Greene, 58 of Cleveland, TN made her last wildly inappropriate comment on August 26, 2018. She was the youngest child of French and Gladys Beard. While Veta was always the life of the party, she didn’t really start to live until her grandchildren were born starting in 2003.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and helping her family when needed. Veta's house in Bucks Pocket became the evening hangout to sit around the fire and shoot the bull with her family and friends. But her main goal in life was to do whatever she could to make her grandchildren happy.
In addition to her parents, Veta is preceded in death by life partner of over 28 years Kathy McCann, her sisters Pearney Gates, Bea Messier, Alma Beard.
She is also preceded in death by her brothers Andrew, Homer, and Hoover Beard.
She is survived by her children Ricky (Misty) Greene, Heath (Tucker) Greene, her grandchildren David, Daniel, Haven, Kadie, and Miah. Veta is also survived by her siblings Chessie (George) Norman, Vickie (Winston) Prince, Wanda Cross, Monita Chastain, I.M. (Faye), Charles (Shirley), Doyle (Joyce) Beard and her very dear friend Jimmy Gladden.
The family will have a celebration of life party at Samples Memorial Baptist Church, Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Visitation 4:00-7:00, service at 7:00. Veta has requested that you wear your most colorful clothes and fill the room with bright beautiful flowers.
