Vance “Cookie Monster” Leroy, 49, a resident of Apison, Tennessee, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 1, 2017. He worked as a truck driver for 30 years. All that knew Vance, knew that he loved helping others and he never met a stranger. More than anything, Vance loved his family and showed that in his everyday life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Imogene Richesin and Billy Joe Leroy, and grandchild, Gideon LaBrosse.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Anita Leroy; children, Nikki (Zack) Willard, Kyle (Emily) LaBrosse, Cody (Alexis) Salo, and Mollie (Gregory) Dies; grandchildren, Jade and Damian Ransom, McKinley and Saydie Salo, and Oliver Smith; as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Viewing will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311, from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Apison Baptist Church, located at 11127 Old East Brainerd Road, Apison, TN 37302, with Pastor Jason Ollis officiating the service.
