Valentine Skorno Davis

February 15, 1948 — July 6, 2023

Valentine Skorno Davis, 75, resident of Soddy Daisy, TN, passed away Thursday morning, July

6, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Born February 15, 1948, in Weilmunster, Germany, she

was the daughter of Viktor & Maria Skorno.


Valentine emigrated to the United States with her family in 1956. She worked hard her entire life

to provide for and raise four daughters. She retired from the United States Postal Service.

She enjoyed fishing, the Atlanta Braves, attending her grandchildren's activities and sports

events, keeping her daughters apprised of the weather, trips to Biloxi and Florida, and spending

time with her family and friends.


Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Bruno Skorno.

Valentine's memory will be cherished by her husband of thirty-one years, James Davis,

daughters Kim (Doug) Flack, Lore Conway, Vicky (Terry) Harris, and Stacey (Greg) Vandiver, as

well as step-daughter Missy (Scott) Delap. She leaves behind grandchildren Emma Fannin,

Cameron Maxwell, Blake Oakley, Olivia Conway, Brooke Conway, Brent Conway, Kayla (Dylan)

McCord, Koby (Lexi) Rzeplinski, Jasper Vandiver, Trevor Delap, Travis Delap, and Molly Delap,

as well as great-grandchildren Arabella Conway, Everleigh Rzeplinski, and Aubrey Delap.

Valentine is also survived by her sister Elfrieda (Joe) Toniolo, sister-in-law Sue Skorno, brothers

Martin (Donna) Skorno and Terry Skorno, and uncle Ernst (Sharon) Hensersky, as well

as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Her legacy will live on eternally through family and friends and her unconditional love will forever

be remembered.


The family will have a private celebration of life. Arrangements are being handled by Companion

Funeral & Cremation Service.
