Tyrone Benjamin Jenkins, 45, lifelong resident of Athens, TN, passed away, January 27, 2023. He was born to Clarence B. Macon & Uneeda Kay Jenkins. Tyrone graduated from Meigs County High School and the owner of Ty’s Tire Shop. He loved fishing, golfing, RC cars, and being with his family and friends. Tyrone enjoyed driving his boat, watching & playing baseball, basketball, and football.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Louise Moore; grandfather, Carl Jenkins; father, Clarence Benjamin Macon; and brother, Jamey Macon.
Survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Tamra Jenkins; mother, Uneeda Jenkins; son, Tyrone Jenkins; godson, Mykal McDermott; daughters, Tyquisha and Teairra Jenkins; siblings, Shawma (Tammy) Roberts, Nisha (Erica) Smith, Benji Macon, Anthony (Brittany) Merrell, Tamara (Mike) Tucker, Tiffany (Kasey) Goins, and Kashay Bradley; granddaughter, Kamilla Ellison; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Watts Bar Community Church.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, prior to the service at the church. Tyrone will be laid to rest at Mount Cumberland Cemetery in Sweetwater, TN, following the service with pallbearers Tyrone Jenkins, Jr., Alan Bostic, Aaron Brady, Tater Moore, Anthony Merrell, Eric Moore, Jamal Anthony, Derrick Haynes, Swahi Smith, and Ivan Johnson.
