Trunisia Ownby

Trunisia Jewell Fowler Ownby, of Crandall, GA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the age of 77.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who loved her God and her family with all her heart and with all her strength. Her joy is now complete.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Fowler and Jewell Fowler, her brothers, Edward Fowler, Quinton Fowler, Maylor Fowler, and Mitchell Fowler; and sisters, China Cochran, Verna Lee Millsaps, Betty Smith and Charlotte Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Ownby of Crandall, children, Pam (Steve) Angell of Crandall and Roger Ownby of LaFayette, GA; grandchildren Jessica Hord of Cohutta, GA, Ben Ownby of Alpharetta, GA, Mary Ownby of LaFayette, and Sara Angell of Crandall; sisters, Janice Tatum of Cleveland, TN, Elaine Whaley of Old Fort, TN and Judy Burns of Cohutta, GA.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 4 p.m. at the Boanerges Baptist Church at 234 Boanerges Church Road in Old, Fort TN with Rev. David Disney officiating and Trunisia will be laid to rest in the church cemetery after the funeral.
The family will receive friends at the church starting at 1p.m. until the funeral hour.
