Travis Joe Brooks

Travis “TJ” Joe Brooks, 30, born November 9, 1988 of Georgetown, TN passed away privately in a local hospital on November 1, 2019. He was a 2008 graduate of Meigs County High School, a dedicated Volkswagen employee, all around great person and humorous guy to many people in his life throughout his work and home life. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Lynn Brooks (12-01-18). He is survived by his three sisters, Lynn Brooks of Georgetown, TN, Nancy (Ann) Petersen of Benton, TN, and Nina Higginbotham and (niece) Verda Jenkins of Charleston, WV.; grandmother, Nancy Alexander; uncles, Roger Payne both of Soddy Daisy, TN, and Timothy Payne of Moreauville, LA, along with several cousins throughout several states. No services will be held per his requests. He wanted everyone to remember him in their own ways by their last encounters. His ashes will be spread alongside his mothers. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association to help further the research on Heart Disease and stroke related illnesses.
