Toy Freeman Elliott, 78, a longtime resident of McMinn County passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at his home in Etowah. He was born in Elizabethton, TN on July 23, 1941 a son of the late Toy H. & June Elliott. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps after faithfully serving his country. He was a proud member of the local Amvets Post 100. Toy was retired from the Johns Manville Company after many years. He loved farming, playing cards, shooting pool, singing karaoke and was an avid reader. Toy will be most remembered for the love he had for his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother Gary Elliott and three sisters Patsy Elliott, Ann Foust and Beverly Duncan.
Toy leaves behind to cherish his memory one daughter Kimberly Green of Cookeville, TN, two sons Kevin Elliott and his wife Julie and Matthew Elliott, one brother Jack Elliott and his wife Gwen, one sister Billie Hill of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren Michael & Amanda Green, Garrett & Grant Elliott, great grandchildren Anna, Michael and Ada Green, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
In honor of his wishes, there will be no formal visitation at this time. There will however be a celebration of life service to be announced at a later time.
