Tom Quinealty

January 11, 1941 — May 24, 2024

Tom Tracey Quinealty, age 83, born and raised in Louisiana, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024, at his home of 7 years in Cleveland, Tennessee. A member of the Army National Guard, Tom attended Louisiana State University after graduating from St. Edmund's Catholic School in Eunice, LA.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce Courville Quinealty; his three children, Mitsi (Joey) Poole, Stacey Quinealty (Sarah), and Sunny Thibodeaux; his six grandchildren, Dr. Jacob Poole, Joshua (Christina) Poole, Joeli (Kyle) Pifer, Savannah Higgins, Katherine Higgins, and Trace Quinealty; his great-granddaughter, Chandler Poole; and his beloved dog, Bentley.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Quinealty; his mother, Cammie P. Reviere; his stepfather, Abbie Reviere; and his brother, Kenneth Reviere. He is also survived by his sisters, Sherry Dupre' and JoLynn Reviere; his brothers, Don Reviere and Bobby Quinealty; and countless family and friends.

Known affectionately as " Pop", he never met a stranger. A devout Catholic, Tom attended St. Therese Catholic Church in Cleveland since moving to Tennessee. He was passionate about giving to others. He was proud to have established a Catholic Mass service group at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson, LA, where he faithfully volunteered. He enjoyed a "good cup of coffee," tinkering with small engines, gardening, talking with anyone who would listen, telling jokes, and spending time with his most precious possessions-his family.

A Mass and celebration of life will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in his hometown of Eunice, LA, on June 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for Masses to be said in his honor or to St. Jude's, the charity he supported. Tom will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
