Obituary
Thomas “Rocky” Long, 42, a resident of Ooltewah, TN passed away on Friday, March 8th, 2013 in an East Ridge Hospital. Rocky was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga being born here on May 28th, 1970. Rocky was hard worker who enjoyed providing for his family which he loved so dearly. He could fix anything, loved to cook and create things. Rocky loved classic cars, hot rods and riding his motorcycle. He was kind and witty, generous yet humble and the most loyal friend a person could ever have. His personality was “bigger than life” and he was just fun to be around… If you ever had the pleasure of meeting him you would not forget him. Rocky’s most endearing quality however would have to be the immense and everlasting love he had for his wife, children, family and friends.
Rocky is preceded in death by grandparents Taft & Tommie Lee Fairfax and also Vaughn & Mayme Long.
He leaves behind his loving wife Holly, two children Katelyn and Tommy, mother Lee Anne Filburn, father Thomas Long, one sister Leesa Kelley (Jerry) ; nieces Chandler Kelley and Chelsea Miller and numerous other extended family members and friends. They all loved him dearly and will cherish his memory forever.
A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, March 12th, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Collegedale Community Church located at 4955 Swinyar Drive in Collegedale, TN with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday night from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.
The family will hold a private interment on Wednesday in the New McDonald Cemetery in Ooltewah, TN
