Thomas "Pete" Sherlin

Obituary
Thomas “Pete” Sherlin, 76, a resident of Cleveland passed away on Friday April 6, 2012 at the family residence. Pete was born on April 25, 1935 in McDonald, TN a son of the late Roy Thomas and Ada Marie Sherlin. He was of the Church of God faith and a very gifted carpenter by trade.
In addition to his parents Pete is preceded in death by one brother Ralph Sherlin.
Pete leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years, Brenda, one son Keith Sherlin, one daughter and son in law Chrystal and Wayne Massingill of Harrison, TN, two grandchildren Logan and Jacob Massingill also of Harrison. He is also survived by two brothers Carl Sherlin and Gerald (Faye) Sherlin , both of McDonald, TN and two sister Wilma “Sis” Goode of McDonald, TN and Oneida Earls of Cleveland, TN. In addition to these, a host of other extended family members.  
A Funeral Service is planned for Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Bancroft Church of God located at 870 Bancroft Road NW, McDonald, TN 37353 with the Reverend Mitchell Wilson, Brother Steve Sherlin, and Brother Waymon Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the Bancroft Cemetery with Donald Goodwin, Roy Sherlin, Micheal Sherlin, C. J. Sherlin, Terry Massingill, and Wayne Massingill serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Bancroft Church of God on Monday night, April 9, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The body will also lie in repose one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
